Why Compounding Is Actually About The Art Of Daily Practice and Ratio Adjustment

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Hey, it’s Deepak Shukla here! Thank you for listening to my podcast – down below you will find the notes and key takeaways from today’s podcast so you can implement them in your everyday life!

What’s up, guys? It’s Monday, the 1 November 2021 times 07:07am, and back at it. And today, I want to talk about the importance of compounding. So it’s a simple concept but difficult to execute. And the reason I want to talk about it right now is because I literally said it’s the 1 November. I thought, Well, what exactly am I going to talk about today?

And at times, I think consistency in doing the 1% a day, 1% a day will be what will see you to success. And that, I think, is the challenge that we all struggle to see at times when it comes to looking at the longer-term picture, mission, or vision. So I had a chat with the Kemistri team, and they said, deep at Where are the leads? Where are the leads? And one of the things I was able to demonstrate to them was that you know what?

There are no leads right now, but we’re on the right path because of the look at the website’s growth. Look at some of the keywords that are beginning to rank in top positions for.

If we follow this route, it’s going to inevitably lead us to success. So this is something I think really applies to just the day upon day of your work. It’s difficult, I think, to literally see success; in the podcast that I record right now, I don’t even know how many listeners they have.

I don’t know if there are many or any I’ve got, I think, 130 podcasts live on iTunes.

I had a look, and I’m positive I have a tiny-a** following. Maybe it’s massive, and I’m not really sure. But the important thing is consistency because you just need that one podcast.

Start With Consistency Then Compounding

But the key here is that if you consistently chip away at the tree one day, the tree will fall. And the manifestation of that in your life is the power of daily practice. And that’s how compounding comes in, and compounding should be renamed. Really.

And that’s why I think I’m going to tighten this blog as daily to the art of daily practises. So you’ve got to build in daily practices or consistent practice to achieve anything close to compounding. The key to many things, and it’s key to the 10,000-hour rule, and it’s a key to intentional practice.

It’s the key to mastery, and I think it’s key to success. And of course, thinking about how it is that you can change adopting pivot things as you go? So today, marks the first time since I’ve recently started this podcast where when I started, I literally didn’t know what I was going to do, but now I’ve just adjusted. So my mic is a bit closer to my face, so I hope that my one listener, Axel, can hear me.

Art Of Daily Practice

Okay, suitable. So I’ve just seen a portable coffee van drive past. I’m thinking about setting up a mobile coffee van, but that’s an idea for another podcast. Still, yeah, just sticking at the art of the kind of consistent and compounding, I think it allows everything else to follow and progress.

To that end, it’s not going to happen uniformly with daily practice because energy flows where attention goes. There are the corresponding ratios of that. So if you’re spending 10% of your time on, for example, these podcasts, like these podcasts, are something I spent some part of my day upon.

It’s not something that’s, for example, my main thing. Still, I am consistently focused on producing new content, and I believe that that will yield results over time. It will just take more time, for example, than the growth of Pearl Lemon. So this is where I think the other thing that needs to be factored in when it comes to daily practice.

Pearl Lemon occupied, for example, the vast majority of my time over the last three to four years. And consequently, the growth that I saw in that space was quicker than I’ll see growth in different spaces where I’m spending less time.

So growing, for example, Pearl lemon Sales is not going to perhaps come as quickly as Pearl Lemon.

Although the argument is that once you achieve a base, it gets easier and quicker for you to pivot or expand based upon your base of power.

So this is another consideration when it comes to the art of daily practice, just timelines based upon time invested and then don’t look too far ahead. I think that’s the part where people sometimes get a bit caught or a bit ruffled daily.

Practice is how I think you achieve massive success and excellency.

I want to make 100 million. I want to make X-Y-Z. And I guess my approach, taking upon the James Clear atomic habits way, is to focus on building world-class routines, and then the routines will lead to the success you seek. Now that’s where I’m at right now. Will it be something to change in the future?

Potentially. But right now, I’m just committing to the art of daily practice. So I guess today’s message is compounding equals daily practice.

The daily practice at times like today where I didn’t have a plan in place matters the most because it’s about building that routine and routines beat goals, systems beat goals.

And if you have systems, that’s what will help you scale and achieve the success you’re looking for more than any specific goal or target that you say. Cheers, mate.

Key Takeaways

  • Build a world-class routine that leads to success.
  • Daily practice and consistency achieve goals.
  • Practice achieves massive success.
